Make sure your help counts
When tragedy strikes many people come fourth to help those in need. Unfortunately many people also see it as a way to make money off of you as well.
Whether it be a natural disaster or a deadly disease you can always be sure to find someone on BlogTv doing some kind of fundraiser.

Some of the broadcasters are very legitimate and link you directly to a donation page of the charity they are raising money for, others have a chip-in widget on the BlogTv page and when their event is over they will turn over the money to the charity they fund raising for, however as we have seen in the past with the chip-in widgets the money does not always make it to the charitable organizations.
BlogTv does not check into these “fundraisers” that they promote, they just make you a banner and advertise the event for you regardless if the money will be going to a charity or in your pocket.
If you wish to help anyone at any time and you don’t want to get ripped off and you don’t want the charity to get ripped off, donate your money directly to the charity itself. That way it’s tax deductible and completely legal.

I just returned with one of the American rescue teams (Fairfax County) from Haiti yesterday spending over two weeks digging through the rubble looking for survivors, shoring up hospitals, and giving hope to the Haitians.
I find it absolutely sickening that any broadcaster would directly collect money for Haiti and then claim to say they will forward it to a NGO (Non-Governmental Organization). Why not just do a show and promote Red Cross, Catholic Relief Services, Adventist Relief Services, etc and link to the website to donate? Why add a third party collector before it reaches the NGO? Because they are keeping the money. Plain and simple. Anyone that can’t figure that out is stupid.
NGOs have made it easier than ever to give DIRECTLY to them. You can give via TXT message, web, or phone call DIRECTLY without anyone acting as a third party.
This FRAUD has been going on way too long on BlogTV. It is an illegal money making scheme plain and simple.

I really don’t understand why Kaycee And Jim are in this picture… Why not use a picture of one of the real frauds?
